A few years back, famous vocal duo, Elita and Mahadi came up with the album Antohin and instantly won the hearts of millions with their duets on the album. Hridoyer Jhore, Nijhum Raat and Bhorer Shishir became well known in the local music scene at the time.
Elita then went to work in other ventures, while Mahadi went MIA.
The musical duo, however, has teamed up again to the delight of their awaiting fans and they are returning in the scene with a special duet track this Eid. Titled Onubhuti, the lyrics for the song has been penned by popular lyricist Rabiul Isalm Jibon and composed by Emon Chowdhury, who is also known as a member of the popular band Chirkutt.
On their return, Elita said, “I don’t sing much now-a-days and works with Mahadi are even less in number. But maybe there’s a good chemistry between us for duets. Each of the songs we’ve sung together has been cherished by the audience. I hope the same happens to the song we are going to release this time.”
“It’s been a long time and we’ve witnessed the unparalleled success of ‘Hridoyer Jhore’. After a long hiatus, we’ve sung together again. The song is refreshing and It feels better to think that we’ve waited this long for a track this. Singing with Elita apu is always special for me. I hope the audience will like our collaboration once again,” said Mahadi about his latest work.
Onubhuti will be released on several digital platforms including GP Music and YouTube, under the banner of CMV.
